Carter Energy Consultancy was founded in February 2018

I am passionate about improved energy performance. I love nothing more than achieving significant energy savings for my customers. At Carter Energy consultancy, I take pride in finding energy saving solutions everywhere we go

I became an Environmental Manager in 2003 working for Sutton Community Leisure. This was a fantastic introduction and taught me about environmental law. It was also where I first started commissioning energy reduction projects.

In 2010 I became Energy manager for Scarborough Borough Council. When I started Scarborough Borough Council was paying £1.5million for their Gas, Electric and Water. When I left in 2016, I had reduced this amount to £820,000. In my six years at Scarborough Borough Council I undertook over 200 energy and water reductions projects. I learned something on absolutely every project I commissioned. In 2013 I was nominated Energy Manager of the Year (coming 2nd) at The Energy and Environmental awards.

In 2016 I took a 2yr fixed term contract as the Energy and Project manager at the Norwich BioScience Research Institute. During my two years I was successful in reducing energy and water consumption to the value of £300,000. During my time at Norwich BioScience Research Institute I was also credited as a co-author on two scientific papers

I have a deep knowledge of energy saving technology and how to best apply it.
